I’m a very new WordPress user and I do like it. But is it so much better than Blogger? (Remember, of course, that I’m using the elementary wordpress.com rather than wordpress.org)..
Essentially, there’s not really a great deal of difference. WP has a more elaborate dashboard which includes useful stuff such as incoming links, comments all listed together and a graphical daily views item. But, all in all, there’s no feeling of light-years distance between the two most common blogging options.
This list of plugins for WP certainly looks useful and I may well try one or two. However, I’m very reluctant to bloat up my blog with a lot of unnecessary and distracting nonsense. (Edit: just found out that these plugins are for wordpress.org Oh well, not sure I wanted to try them anyway but maybe there is something equivalent for wordpress.com)
